This afternoon we did another segment with a great progressive radio host, Peter B. Collins. Peter’s show reaches listeners up and down the west coast (or the left coast as he prefers) and also in parts of Arizona.

Day 29
12:26 PM CT.
Last night, Team DoubleSpeak attended a town hall meeting on environmental justice. The featured speaker was MN-05 Congressional candidate Keith Ellison. Keith did a very good job in that meeting and we had a nice interview with him after the questions ended. If elected in November, Keith will be the first Muslim to ever serve in the U.S. Congress and he will be the first non-white person ever elected to federal office from the great state of Minnesota.
Minneapolis is a pretty hip city. I’m not even talking mid-west hip, I mean legit hip. Just how hip is this great city? Well…this morning I ate a vegan, organic, fruit covered waffle at a local corner restaurant. It was delicious! If you ever come to this city, you must try the waffles.
Today we’re locked up in Reed’s apartment, producing and writing shows. We’ll be in Minneapolis for another twenty-four hours and then we’ll head due south towards Sioux City, IA.
Tonight, we are on the Peter B. Collins show for the second time. You can listen here. We are slated to go on at 3:00pm Pacific or 6:00pm Eastern. Make sure you tune in. If you miss it, Josh will record it and we’ll put it up on the website ASAP.

This is a couple days old now, but take a listen to Peter and I on Madison, WI radio. The host, Lee Rayburn, is one of the terrific progressive voices in the Badger State and DoubleSpeak was honored to get to do an in-studio interview with Lee.
We will be doing the Peter B. Collins show again tomorrow and will post a clip as soon as we have it available. Stay tuned for some more radio with Air America in the coming days as well.

We just did our interview on the Peter B. Collins show. Peter was great and asked us about the “One Minivan, One America Tour” in addition to questions about some of the candidates we’ve met so far.
