It has been reported that U.S. Marines allegedly killed about two dozen unarmed Iraqi men, women and children in the western city of Haditha last November. Today, Bush spoke out for the first time on this matter.

President Bush said Wednesday he was troubled by allegations that U.S. Marines had killed unarmed Iraqi civilians and that, “if in fact laws were broken, there will be punishment.”

President Bush said Monday that if anyone on his staff committed a crime in the CIA-leak case, that person will “no longer work in my administration.”

Please note, no one was ever fired in connection with the CIA leak. Karl Rove, who could be days away from being indicted still holds a security clearance in the White House and serves as a senior political aide to Bush.

Alright Bush, were you lying then and now you’re being serious? America doesn’t trust you. This is a very important situation and we need a Commander in Chief who is serious about leadership and whose word we can trust. You are not that man.
