Iowa Must Stay Blue

If you’ve been following the Iowa Governor’s race then you know it’s hotly contested. As current Governor Tom Vilsack (D) prepares to make a run at the Presidency, it’s going to be critical for Democrats to keep this seat. Right now there are three major contenders for the Democratic nomination for Governor:

Chet Culver
Michael Blouin
Ed Fallon

Culver and Blouin are running neck and neck for the nom-nom, however, it appears in a new poll that Iowa voters think Chet Culver has the best shot of beating Republican Jim Nussle in the fall.

From the poll:

In the race for governor, Iowa Secretary of State Chet Culver (D) has eked out a six-point advantage over Republican Congressman Jim Nussle. Culver now leads 46% to 40%, having gained slightly against Nussle for three polls in a row.
