With the Romney doublespeak, there is no possibily of a win; if someone is generous or kind to him, he steps on them, and if someone isn’t kind to him, he criticizes them for it. It is a no-win situation but only applies to the other guy, a.k.a., his fault, never Romney’s.
With that type of attitude, there is little left to do but throw up one’s hands, and say, whatever…
If that is the method by which Romney had succeeded, by wearing down his opponents and offering no room for negotiation, it is a bad testament to the current climate of political and economic expertise since it offers only one solution: his.
Perhaps that was the source of Fred Thompson’s remark on immigration reform to Romney. Everything is fine if it’s Romney’s way.
