Retiring Senator Mark Dayton’s (D-MN) seat had been considered vulnerable, but a recent poll has Democratic candidate Amy Klobuchar set to follow in the footsteps of great Minnesota Senators like Walter Mondale and Paul Wellstone. Ms. Klobuchar, currently the Hennepin County District Attorney, holds a 19 point lead over Republican Congressman Mark Kennedy head to head and strong leads in nearly every key demographic.
