NPR Profiles CT Senate Race
This is an interesting report on the Connecticut senate race. As you may know, Sen. Joseph Lieberman (D-CT) is being challenged (from the left) by businessman Ned Lamont (D). This race is certainly an uphill battle for Lamont – Lieberman is an entrenched politician and he has an expansive fundraising network.
The issues raised in this race will reflect the national debate on Iraq and the GOP agenda, but Lieberman will be forced to answer some tough questions about his party allegiance. Based on this interview, he seems to be getting a little agitated at the line of questioning.

I heard an interesting report on NPR the other day about the possible resignation of Rumsfeld (yes, I know, we’ve heard this all before) and who might succeed him. One of the names that popped up was Lieberman. I doubt Lieberman would want to be THAT closely aligned with Bush, but he sure seems to be a big Bush supporter. It would be an interesting development
